Scott McKenzie

As one of the firm’s four founders, he plays a central role in shaping Velocity Legal’s culture, strategy and long term direction, with a clear focus on building a business that supports both exceptional client outcomes and a high performing team.

He works closely with the team to improve systems and processes across the firm, recruit outstanding people and respond quickly to feedback. Scott is motivated by delivering tangible improvements that make the business more effective, efficient and rewarding for everyone involved.

Before moving into an operational leadership role, Scott practised as a commercial lawyer and was nationally recognised in his field. He was the youngest lawyer to obtain specialist accreditation in commercial law from the Law Institute of Victoria, bringing a strong legal foundation and commercial perspective to his work leading the firm’s operations.
